Weekly Family Meal Plan 2017 - Week 8

Weekly Meal Plan Ideas sharing real food for real families. Save time and money by planning easy menus for your family.

Long weekends can be good for the soul, can't they? Did you have a long weekend this past weekend? Perhaps you are off today as well? I am heading into the office today, but the rest of my beloved family is at home, relaxing and hanging out. We are planning to meet up for an early family dinner tonight.

Going out to eat during the week, is a rare treat. Typically I feel as if the rush between school, after school activities, dinner and bedtime is enough and we shouldn't throw one more thing into the mix!  But since everyone is off today, we are going out. (Also, mom is sitting on an education panel tonight and doesn't feel like cooking)

Something else out of the ordinary I'm trying this week, is a big family meal on Sunday. We like to keep our weekends free and fairly loose whenever we can, so taking time to prepare and cook a big meal can be a challenge. But with the Instant Pot - the time is seriously shortened and the results are just as great, so I'm giving it a try with another Pot Roast on Sunday.  Here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Family Dinner Out - Happy Belated Birthday Mom
Tuesday - Muffin Tin Meatloaves and Broccoli
Wednesday - Chicken "Parm" with Pasta and Salad
Thursday - Leftover Buffet
Friday - Boys Night - Mom is heading out with the Ladies
Saturday - YOYO (You're On Your Own)
Sunday - Sunday Night Pot Roast Dinner using the Instant Pot
