Weekly Family Meal Plan 2017 - Week 5

Weekly Meal Plan Ideas sharing real food for real families. Save time and money by planning easy menus for your family.Happy Monday meal planners! Thanks for coming back for another week of family meal plans. If this is your first time here, each Monday, I share our family's intended meal plan for the week ahead. I try to stick to as meany real food options as possible, meaning very few boxes, bags and mixes. I also have two kids, so a healthy dose of reality is also included, but we keep the best quality ingredients that our budget and tastes will allow.

One of the biggest factors in working on my meal plan each week is time. I take a look at our calendar and see what activities we all have going on during the week. This gives me an idea of when I can plan for a more-involved meal, and when I need to keep it simple. For instance, this week we have three evenings with activities, and two will require a little bit earlier start time for me to prepare dinner. Knowing that in advance, keeps my meal plan to things we can handle in our available evening time frame.

Here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Chili and Cornbread. I'm going to try to adapt this recipe for the Instant Pot.
Tuesday - Breakfast for Dinner, Dad's out.
Wednesday - Quick Dinner: Nuggets and Mac N Cheese
Thursday - Chicken and Roasted Vegetables - Sheet Pan Meal
Friday - Homemade Pizza Night
Saturday - Family Dinner Out
Sunday -YOYO (You're On Your Own)
