Vest - Ralph Lauren (old) | Sweater - Eddie Bauer (old) | Tank - Aventura Clothing | Shoes - Target
For me, a major factor in deciding what to wear each day, is what I am going to be doing. If we are running around shopping, that calls for a different outfit than a lunch date with friends. Not that I couldn't wear the same thing to both, but the idea of an all-day shopping marathon screams "COMFORT" to me.
On a recent weekend errand jaunt, I pulled out some classics from my closet. This Eddie Bauer v-neck sweater is old (shh it has a tiny hole in the arm that I need to try and fix) as is my Ralph Lauren vest. But they both still look great, if a little "worn-in." While I love a low-heel boot, for all day shopping, I'm going with total comfort and these cute slip-on sneakers.
As with so many things, layers are key. If you will be outside or it's chilly, you want to be warm. . .but the mall can be REALLY hot, and I can't shop if I'm uncomfortable. That's where a vest can be your best friend. This one is reversible, and next time, I'll wear it red side out! I like a smooth foundation piece, like my favorite Aventrua Clothing Bienne Tank. It was my first piece as an Ambassador, and it's a favorite for sure. I also need to wear or carry a pair of thin socks, in case I want to try on shoes.
You need a good bag too. One that's not a pain to carry, if it's a good shopping day, your hands may be full! I'm loving my Kate Spade bag. It's a cross between a purse and a tote bag, with plenty of room for essentials.
What's your shopping day uniform?
