Welcome back to another weekly meal planning post. Each week, I share my plan for feeding my family. With school starting this week, dinnertime becomes family time AND a busy time once again. There's just something about "that time" of night, and planning our meals ahead, makes it just a little bit easier.
This week our activity level really picks up! The kids start school (9th and 3rd grades - yikes!) and I have a Board Meeting and Back to School for 3rd grade. I'm also at a workshop all day on Saturday, so toss in some homework and last minute trips for school stuff we didn't know we needed, and it's a pretty busy week!
Planning ahead not only lets me shop once (or twice), saving time and money, but it also lets me know how to juggle my time, as far as what can be prepared in advance. I have to leave myself time to be available for homework help too. It's a super busy time of the evening around here during school, and truth be told - I didn't miss it!
Here's what we have planned for this week:
Monday - Farewell to Summer BBQ - Dogs and Burgers, Potato Salas, Baked Beans and Deviled Eggs
Tuesday - First Day of School - Kid Favorite: Homemade Chicken Fingers for kids - Grilled Chicken Caesar Salads for Grown-ups
Wednesday - Whole30 Approved: Grilled Flank Steak, Green Beans, Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Mushrooms - served family style
Thursday - Back to School Night - Quick Dinner
Friday - Pizza Night - TGIF!
Saturday - Leftover Buffet/YOYO (You're On Your Own)
Sunday - Roast Chicken, Peas, Mashed Potatoes
What's on your meal plan this week?
catch you soon -
