Menu Plan Monday - 2015 Week 26

Weekly Meal Planning Ideas - Real Food for Real Families

Welcome back to another week of meal planning ideas. This is where I share my weekly dinner plan. It's a menu of real food for real people. We are finally on summer vacation around here, and while we spent the first few days completely bumming around, I must confess that I miss structure and routine.

This week, the kids are enrolled in a local summer camp program that they ADORE - it's our ninth summer, so you know we love it. The best part for me, is that I get in a week of routine - regular office hours, my weekly trip to Trader Joe's for food, and the ability to finish up projects in peace.

They are home from camp by 3:30, and with no homework or anything (summer packet work starts AFTER July 4th), we have the evening hours to ourselves. It makes for a more relaxed and casual dinner hour.  In fact, this summer, my plan is to feed them a bigger snack after camp and move dinner back to 6:30ish, bringing everyone back to the table together.

Here's what I have planned for dinners this week:

Monday - Sausage, Peppers and Potatoes, Caesar Salad
Tuesday - Taco Tuesday - Make Your Own Taco Bar with Cor and Guacamole
Wednesday - Pork Tenderloin on the grill, Baked Potatoes
Thursday - BLTs with a corn salad (looking for a recipe - any ideas?)
Friday - Date Night - Kids are going Camping.
Saturday - Mom's on her own - boys are camping.
Sunday - Mom's on her own - boys are camping.

There you have it. A pretty simple plan for family dinners for the week. What are you having for dinner this week?

  1. Great menu plan! I would maybe do a corn black bean salad, I don't have a recipe but it sounds good. LOL
