This is a look I love in catalogs and on other women, but it's a hard look to wear myself. We all have parts of our body that we aren't thrilled with, and my legs are one of mine. I have very pale skin, despite my love affair with Jergens. Not only that, without the lengthening benefits of tights (worn with boots or heels), I think skirts make me look shorter and heavier.
But despite my own misgivings, I have a few spring and summer skirts I like and I enjoy pulling together some looks to change up my style.
One skirt that I have had in my closet for a while, is a simple black and white graphic skirt from Talbots. There's not much magic to it, it has a simple elastic waistband, and fits straight down in pencil-skirt style. The fabric is a great weight, so it lays nicely and works with bare legs or with tights. The black and white graphic print makes it an all-year wardrobe piece.
I wanted to pair it with my denim shirt because right now, I am loving the look of denim with black and white. A simple white tank, and black flip flops completed a simple (and comfortable) errand-running day outfit.
Skirt - Talbots (old)
Tank - Aventura Bienne Tank (new and I'm an Ambassador)
Denim Shirt - Ann Taylor (early spring this year)
Shoes - New from Vionic
Necklace - Tiffany
Bracelets - Tiffany and Alex and Ani
Are you a fan of the spring skirt? How are you styling it right now?

I am a fan of skirts! I am loving a tangerine skirt from Loft at the moment. It was a purchase in the late winter and it helped me get through the end of winter and transition into spring!
