Wearing A Watch

Do you wear a watch? It wasn't that long ago that every well-dressed wrist sported a watch, but these days, more and more people turn to their phones to tell them the time. Does that mean watches are falling out of style?

I don't think so. With all the varieties of watches available in the market, not to mention Cartier and Rolex, there's little doubt that watches still hold a place in fashion and style. Also, I think there's a watch comeback as more and more people are trying to unplug more often. Rather than pull your phone out, just give your chic wrist a glance for the time. 

Recently, Jord Watches sent me a beautiful wooden watch to review and share with all of you. For those of you not familiar with Jord (much like myself), they are a collective of artists, designers, and seasoned watchsmiths. When I opened the box, I was struck by how gorgeous the watch looked. The colors were so deep and rich. When I slipped the watch off it's pillow, I was shocked by how light it was. It fit my wrist pretty well (I have tiny wrists and almost always need links removed), I like a watch to fit loosely like a bracelet.

I loved my Jord watch worn with a Denim Shirt and brown booties. I also wore it with a white shirt, topped with a black sweater.  The watch has a classic rugged look to it when paired with casual everyday pieces. It also fits in nicely with my signature style bracelet stack.

I recently styled it with a favorite outfit of mine, all in coordinating black and brown. I really think it adds an extra statement of elegance to this classically casual outfit.
