Welcome Back for a new year of weekly meal plans! If you are a regular reader, then you know I shared 52 weeks (a whole year's worth) of meal plan ideas in 2014. Well I'm planning to do it again in 2015! Are you with me?
Let me give you a little background on my process. It's easy - I promise. On Sunday, I sit down with our calendar for the week and a weather report. I pull recipe ideas from Pinterest and my collection of cook books, taking into consideration what I currently have on-hand. From there, I develop my menu plan and my grocery list.
That's it. I typically go shopping on Sunday (Target for staples) and then on Monday or Tuesday at Trader Joe's. Sometimes things come up and menu ideas get postponed, or we just aren't in the mood. And that's ok. . .it's just a plan. The important part is that with a plan, I don't suddenly start to panic at 2:30 in the afternoon and have to make a trip to the store.
This weekly routine has saved me time and money and I hope it does the same for you!
This week we are still all on vacation, so it's not a "typical week", but here's what we have planned:
Monday - Ham and Cheese Sliders, Pasta Salad
Tuesday - Tortellini Soup, Salad and Bread
Wednesday - Appetizer Dinner for New Year's Eve
Thursday - Chicken Cutlets, Mashed Potatoes and Peas
Friday - Pizza Night (homemade)
Saturday and Sunday - TBD
What are you planning to make this week?
catch you soon -
