Mixed Drink Recipe: Pink Lemonade Cocktail

Warmer weather calls for fun, refreshing drinks - especially come cocktail hour.  The other night, it was beautiful out. The kids were playing (nicely) in the yard and I was making dinner on the grill. This scene needed a cocktail! But I wasn't in the mood for a glass of wine or a vodka tonic . . .I wanted a new fun mixed drink - so I rummaged around and came up with an easy mixed drink recipe.

 Vodka, Pink Lemonade, lime, ice

I had bought the kids Pink Lemonade from Trader Joe's earlier in the week. They drink a lot of water and milk, so I like to give them some fun options too. The pretty pink color and cold temperature started calling me. I grabbed the vodka and mixed up a drink.

It was so yummy - not too sweet and really refreshing. You could also add a splash of rum if you really wanted to kick things up. So just in time for summer entertaining and nights on the back porch, pour a little grown-up lemonade and relax!

Pink Lemonade Coctail - Vodka, Pink Lemonade & Lime over ice

Ingredients:
  • Your favorite Vodka (Citron would be delicious)
  • Your favorite Pink Lemonade
  • Lime
  • Mint (optional)
  • Ice
Mix ingredients according to your preferences, I typically start with a shot of vodka and add lemonade. You can make a pitcher full, a couple glasses in your shaker or even just a single cocktail to enjoy while cooking dinner. Garnish with some lime and a sprig of mint and enjoy!
Mix up this easy and refreshing cocktail, perfect for summertime parties, picnics, BBQs, showers and more
