How-to Wear Silver Shoes | Fashion Friday

A few weeks ago, John and I were strolling the mall checking out the spring fashion and he pointed out a display of silver shoes. We started talking about whether they were practical for everyday fashion, or if they were really more of a special occasion shoe.

I couldn't get it out of the back of my mind, and started noticing silver shoes popping up in magazine ads, commercials and store displays. Is silver the new neutral?

So let's say you decide to get a pair of silver shoes . . .they come in a variety of styles and price points, so the real decision is what style will you get the most wear out of from the pieces in your closet.

I took a few minutes and put together three possible looks with three different styles of silver shoes:

Look #1 - Casual

This is a great summer travel, exploring the city, museum browsing look. A pair of casual silver shoes or sandals can add a bit of pizzazz to an otherwise ordinary outfit, like jeans and a t-shirt.

Look #2 - Event

Got somewhere to go? Pair a pretty pair of silver sandals with your pants or skirts. I love the look of khaki and silver - so fresh and crisp.

Look #3 - Work

If suits are your thing, these gorgeous silver sling backs can kick up any of your pant or skirt suits. They's look great with both black or navy.

So, silver shoes can be pretty versatile and may be a great addition to your spring and summer wardrobe this season.
