Menu Plan Monday - 2014 Week 1
Can you believe we are starting a whole new year on Wednesday? It seems like just a couple weeks ago, I shared my first meal plan of 2013 with you all, and we are starting it all over again.
I talk about my approach and what works for our family a lot in these posts. I hope you'll take a peek back at previous posts if you're just starting on your meal planning adventure. What's working for us is planning to "cook" something 4 times/week, having a Pizza/Take-Out night, and assuming one night of the weekend will be dedicated to leftovers. I have saved trips to the store (I hit 2 a week typically) and money (in both wasted food and effort) with my approach.
I use Pinterest to cull recipes that I think may work for our family, and when I get "stuck", I use that board to help in my planning. I will typically also follow-up on here whether a recipe I tried worked or not.
On this week's menu:
Monday - Roasted Chicken
Tuesday - Small Foods and Appetizers for our New Year's Eve Celebration
Wednesday - Mini Meatloaves
Thursday - Chicken Soup
Friday - Pizza Night
Saturday and Sunday - to be determined
