Menu Plan Monday - 2013 Week 39
Hooray - it's officially Fall. This time of the year is so busy, but also so much fun. My goal is to plan healthy, but hearty meals that aren't too complicated. . .sounds impossible, doesn't it? Here's what I'm trying for this week:
Monday - Shrimp & Vegetable Stir-Fry over Rice (moved from Last Week's Plan)
Tuesday - Taco Tuesday with Guacamole and Corn
Wednesday - Roasted Chicken (I'm going to do parts to cut down on time), Mashed Potatoes, Peas
Thursday - Pasta with Meatballs
Friday - Pizza Night
Saturday & Sunday - TBD
The beautiful part of this menu is that except for the Chicken and Avocados, I have everything else on hand. A big step in my weekly meal planning, is to try and use things I already have before they spoil or get stale. It cuts down on waste and on my weekly grocery bills.

It is very true making a conscious effort to use up ingredients will truly bless your wallet! You week sounds yummy...I'm thinking about re instituting our pizza night. One less thing for me to think about when meal planning. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been in the middle of a massive "use up everything" project for the past 6 weeks. It's amazing (and embarrassing) how much food I had in the house. This has been great because I love the feeling of success when you have almost nothing to buy at the grocery store!
