Bubble Bellies Bubble Blowing Toy

I don't know about your kids, but once the weather warms up, my 6 year old wants to break out our Bubble Caddy.  That's right - a Caddy. I got a plastic supply caddy (most likely at Target) and that's where I keep all of our bubble making supplies and goodies out in the garage. It keeps everything together AND it's easy to squirt down with the hose when the bubbles spill.

Backyard Bubble Blowing

We received a Bubble Belly© Bubble Blower Toy  from Imperial Toy to review as part of our springtime bubble fun. Sadly, we had to wait a few days for the weather to catch up with our enthusiasm!

Bubble Bellies Bubble Blowing Toy

Owen couldn't wait to open the package. He looks at these EVERY TIME we go to Toys R Us, and finally, he had one of his own to try out. What the Bubble Bellies is, is a plastic animal shaped bubble blower. You put batteries in it, fill it with the included bubble solution, squeeze the handle, and bubbles blow out.

We got it free from it's packaging, put the batteries in. . .we had a little trouble with the battery compartment, but we got it open and working just fine. We poured in the Bubble Solution, and BAZINGA. . .

Blowing Bubbles in the Backyard

Bubble Time. According to the directions, it takes a few seconds for the mechanism to fill with bubble solution, so you shouldn't expect bubbles the first second you press the handle. But in no time, Owen was making trails of bubble across the backyard.

Bubble Fun

Some hints from the manufacturer to make sure you have as much success and fun as possible are:
  • Make sure you use Little Tykes©, Miracle© Bubbles, or Super Miracle© Bubbles solution.
  • Be patient. Prime the wand for 30 seconds the first time you use it, and remember that the wand must be fully coated for tons of bubbles.
  • Hold the Bubble Bellies© upright and don't pull the handle too rapidly.
The kids took turns running around the backyard making bubbles. Even my 12 year old enjoyed seeing just how many bubbles he could make.

Using the Bubble Bellied Bubble Blower

We give this two thumbs up for ease of use and fun. What is your kids' favorite springtime activity?

catch you soon -

disclosure - I received a Bubble Bellies© bubble blower for free to facilitate this review. I was not compensated for this post, and as always all opinions are my very own.

  1. Automatic bubble blowers are wonderful-- I love sitting on the deck with my iced tea while the kids play instead of having to blow a million bubbles myself while the kids shriek for more!

  4. Oh my gosh, how cute! I think if we set this up on the front deck at the beach I could amuse the entire block of kids! :)

  6. I love these things. At risk of sounding like a bad mom--there are two activities that I just HATE--blowing bubbles and pushing my kids on the swing. Mostly because they never get tired of either, and it goes on forever. At least with these things, I don't have to actually blow bubbles anymore. We have a few with the 3d glasses too. Now, find me something that pushes my kids on the swings!

  11. How long did it last? We've had those before. They work one day and never work again.
