12 Days of Christmas | Favorite Local Place to Visit
we have been going to the Holiday Light Show at what is now Macy's . . since it was still Wannamakers. John and I went together before we even had kids. (although I can find NO pictures of any of us there)
The Holiday Light Show has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1956. There is just something magical about the story told with music and 100-thousand LED lights. It's timeless and ageless and by far, one of my most favorite local holiday places to visit.
Even closer to home is the Chestnut Hill Stag and Doe Nights. . . (of the preferred, Stab a Doughnut) These are special shopping nights along the quaint decorated strip of Germantown Avenue with food, drinks, music and merriment. On a nice evening it's a great time to grab dinner and walk along the streets. . .you may even see Santa while you are there.
