We were celebrating Soma's Bra Donation program to support women in need. Bras are the most needed yet least donated item of clothing for women. If you don't have a Soma near you, the Giving is Beautiful Website has an address that you can mail your new or gently used bras to. Any bras that are unfit for donation, are RECYCLED. . .yes, recycled. . .they are taken apart and all the pieces (underwire, hooks, fabric, etc) is recycled so that no bra ends up in a landfill.
Last year, Soma recycled and donated more than 68,000 bras!
Kathy Picarri and her team set up a lovely table of snacks and water for us to enjoy as we perused all their wonderful merchandise. The ladies helped us with styles and sizing and offered each party guest a free fitting.
According to Kathy and her team of fitting experts, the three most important things to know about a bra fitting are:
- you should have one every 6 months to a year
- you should rotate your bras - otherwise the elasticity wears out
- the perfect fitting bra is "life-changing"
Soma also offers shape-wear, clothing and sleepwear. Kathy was telling me about their signature line of sleepwear that is made of Rayon from Bamboo. . .it was so soft and pretty that it is definitely going on my Christmas list. There is a line of Nursing Bras available online as well.
The dressing rooms are really something special - and I wish I had gotten a picture of one and the little "Fitting In Progress" sign too.

A big thank you ladies!
catch you soon -
note - as the hostess of the party, I received a free bra and my guests received 10% off their purchases. I received no compensation nor was asked to write a post. As always, the opinions expressed here are my very own.
I have bali bras in all colors. It washes well and lasts a long time.
ReplyDeleteVery good support for the price.
Soma Intimates is my very favorite place to shop. Usually they have pretty good quality lingerie, and its amazingly affordable.
