Day 25 – What did you want to be when you grew up? Why and/or how did that change over time?
i think i wanted to be a teacher for most of my childhood and young adulthood. briefly, i toyed with being a gymnast like Nadia Comanechi . . .but that didn't really work out. . . in high school I thought about being a lawyer. . .
I ended up studying accounting and becoming an auditor for 20 years - it was a wise decision and a career path that was at times difficult but for the most part, very good to me.
I think it so difficult to think about what you want to do for the REST of your life - when you are 18. . .30 is a great time to make that decision - but sadly, its a bit late at that point.
I am currently in a career renaissance . . .finding myself again - picking a new path. sometimes it's terrifying and yet so exciting.
have you always known what you wanted to do/be?
