john had to work this morning, so the kids and i stayed snuggled in our jammies and each did our own thing for a bit. . .
for me - that included this layout of owen from his first 12 months. i had taken a picture of him around the same day each month, in the same chair, next to the same blue bear - for his first year of life. the end product differs slightly (ok - a LOT) from my original idea - but i'm pleased with the end result - and best of all - it's DONE. 12 pictures to scrap off my pile.
while i was feeling inspired, i finished off this picture of my bff carla and all our kids (5 between us) i couldn't quite capture how much fun i had this summer seeing her - but i think i got down how important her friendship is to me and my hope that our families will always be close.
