. . .so last week, ryan started third grade. . .
he seems so much more of a "big kid" this year. . .different things are important - the "right" sneakers, wearing your shirt the "right" way. . .not buying clothes at an "uncool" place. . .
don't get me wrong - we still stress the importance of being true to yourself and that it's okay (even good) to be different. . .but i remember 3rd grade. . .i remember that as the year that things changed. . .boys started becoming boys and girls started becoming girls. . .we realized there was a distinct difference.
i'm so excited for him on his 3rd grade journey - i wish i could pave the way and make everything easy and happy and sunlight and joy. . .but i know that's not realistic. . .but it doesn't stop me from wishing on the fall stars for everything to be wonderful.
catch you soon -
