. . .despite the scary smile, Ryan and I had a great time on his school trip this morning.
i met his class at the art museum, where we took part in a "Museum Looks and Picture Books" program.
we sat with a guide, who introduced a book, today's was "Go Away Big Green Monster!" by Edward Emberley, and then discussed a type of painting we were going to see - portraits. this program was designed for preschool kids and it was terrific. all the kids got to particiapte and we went on a scavenger hunt through the museum looking for certain protraits.
afterwards, each child got to make an art project and then we had lunch. then of course, mommy had to go home and take a nap - i really don't know how those teachers do it everyday!
